I replaced my Tdi thermostat a couple of months back with the genuine Volvo part. What I find now is no matter how cold the weather gets the cooling fans are running when I finish the journey. The car is roasting if I dont turn the heating down, yes I know its a Swede. My needle is just above the horizontal when warmed up roughly at the 14.45 position. Anyone have the same experience, as my old stat was running cold for years so dont recall how it worked when it was ok. Thanks DDN
There are two stats available for petrol models 87c and 92c I think not sure about diesel models, but diesel engines generate far more heat due to compression ratios twice as high as a petrol.
