Joining 2 m2v files - can it be done?

I have 2 m2v files of a movie split in 2. Is there a tool for joining these together into a single m2v I can use to author a DVD? I have tried TMPGenc but only seems to output mpg files and not m2v files. Reason I have 2 files is that I was re-encoding a movie in TMPGenc and someone stopped it at 95% :mad: , so I just restarted from the next frame and created another m2v file. Does anyone know this cos I don't want to re-encode all over again :( TIA.

U can Merge

Hey Dvd@Best, Sorry if not clear, here are my steps... I was re-encoding a video stream in TMPGenc to create a single m2v file (under 4.38GB) to author a DVD with. At 95%, someone stopped it b4 it had finished. Since I don't want to re-encode all over again (another 8 hours), I thought I'd re-encode the remaining 5%. I now have 2 m2v files but want to merge these into a single m2v file. I have d/l FileMerger and will give it a try tonight. Another alternative seems to be that I CAN use TMPGenc to merge the 2 m2v files into 1 mpg file. Can I then demux this file in TMPGenc to get the m2v stream out? Would that be possible?

I was going to use SpruceUp - can it take 2 m2v files and a single ac3 file?

Use TMPGenc's FILE > MPEG TOOLS > CUT/MERGE option. Put in your two files: PART1.M2V PART2.M2V Save as FULL_MOV.M2V Then press the RUN button. I do this all the time.

You can demultiplex your .mpg by using "simple demultiplex" to have your m2v stream & import to authoring.
