Plug-Ins arent showing up in PT

Hey all, The plug-ins I recently installed, one of which was Waves & Amplitude, does not seem to be appearing in my Plug-Ins list. I am installing them in the Plug-Ins folder for Digidesign, but can not figure out why I can't use any of these plug-ins. Right now the only ones I am receiving are the ones that came with PT. I used the developer's installation software and I re-directed the path to the Digidesign Plug In folders? Is that wrong? I was told that plug-ins had to be placed in the plug in directory of digidesign.

The plug-ins go into Program Files-COMMON FILES-Digidesign-DAE-Plug-ins. Move all instances of .dpm and .dpm.rsr there and they will appear. Some manufacturers still put them in the old directory for 5.x.x

Actually both locations are supported. You don't install the Waves plug-ins into the Digi folder.. they'll be in their own Waves folder... the installer will place the WaveShells in the Digi Plug-ins folder. You should install to the default suggested locations (or just change the drive letter). If the plug-ins aren't placed in the Common Digidesign folder, you can move them manually after installation.
