Just curious as to what some of you all are using to put on your DIA/MSX/FX submaster aux faders for TV mixes. Whether it be Maxim, L2, C4, Focusrite, McDSP, etc..., stuff like that. That is, if you're using a C24, Pro Control, or just mousing it in the box. G4/1.25 DP, HD3, PT 5.3.1/6.4, C24
emf1138, Since your in Burbank, why don't you come by and see for yourself. Also, try posting this in "Post and Surround". You"ll more likely get an answer.
How do you guys deal with the fact that a signal can peak a few dB higher after a D-A conversion? In broadcast, you never know what antiquated signal chain some affiliate may have. But this would apply to music too. I'm thinking specifically of the Analog or Digital peak limiting option in the L1. /jim
Wow... -10, so that would be, +10VU.... I'm using -20db as 0VU as well and I let my mixes peak at +14VU, sometimes one side will hit +15 and still, at times, that doesn't seem like enough. Or on the flipside, I'm hitting my peak limiters so much that it starts seriously attenuating. Maybe I should stop mixing such action heavy shows....
