Rubber elbows and vac leak nightmare!

:Banane32: Right i noticed a sudden reduction in power and thought i'd take a look at the vac hoses as my engine management light had come on. Please note i have just fitted a dump valve and boost gague on my c70 t5gt. I noticed the elbow on the manifold right next to the pas pump had totally perished. Also 3 of the rubbers that go on the end of the vac tree had disappeared. so i have blocked the tree by putting a hose directly from one hole to another on the vac tree itself, is this ok to do? Also temporary cleared codes by disconnection of the battery. And replaced the elbow which was dismembered by replacing it with a small bit of samco i had left over from the dump valve kit. There is an improvement in power straight away and no codes have shown up as of yet. But i still think there may be a problem somewhere as the power isnt as it once was. What other elbows can i look for, i noticed 2 at the front of the manifold, and 2 on the main induction hose to the turbo. Checked all the major hoses over and they all seem fine. Any others which you suggest?? Also my car is an auto, whilst at max boost i get a major rattling noise coming from the gague, it isnt the gague as when its disconnected i get the same noise from the hose into the car. The hose is fine has been checked properly. Not sure what it is, might i also add that this has been only happeneing since i fitted the gague, but i did take off the top engine mount, as it was easier to get to the stock recirc valve. Any help greatly appreciated guys. Like i say only happens at max boost, around 8psi on my car.

The boost gauge will rattle when you connect it directly to the vacuum tree. I had the same problem. I then fitted a restricter T to the gauge and that sorted the problem.
