...or am I missing something obvious? 1) There seems to be no 'lights on' warning or buzzer, if I ever remember to actually switch the lights on manually to be able to activate the main beam(!) Should I at least have a buzzer or gong? 2) There appears to be no illumination on the edge of the door - was this introduced on P2 models? Even the other half's Ka has reflectors! Cheers all

Hi gh2008, No, there isn't a "lights on" buzzer as the dipped beams (DRLs) go off with the ignition. The middle position is parking lights which you would therefore (in theory) be consciously leaving on. I quizzed Volvo UK (well, OK, customer "service" ) a while back on why there were no longer lamps or even reflectors on the backs of the doors. They told me they were no longer needed as you had hazard lights.................
