Wnat to buy and 850 T5 what should i look out for?

Hi I am new to forum so hello all! I would like to buy a T5 estate 850. I have found a nice sounding GLE manual on the 'net but haven't a clue what problems to look out for. :baffled: Can anyone advise? Possibly looking at it tonight!!! Also, What is the timing belt/chain interval Many thanks!!!!!! Paul

Thanks John, thats a big help!! Looked at one in my lunch break today. Fantastic engine but the roof was rusting all along the edge of the trim strips (where the roof rails would mount). Reckoned that might be pretty ugly fairly soon! Cheers Paul

No problem, the rusty roof does not sound good at all, 850's don't really rust AFAIK so you're right that's one to walk away from. Cheers, John
